In 1965, Jean and Charles Beasley opened Cincinnati Cake & Candy Supplies, then under the name "The Party Cake Shop." One of the first of its kind, the small shop sold decorated special occasion and wedding cakes only. As more and more customers asked to buy small novelties to decorate their own cakes at home, it gradually evolved into a supply shop as well.
The Party Cake Shop moved to its current location in 1982. At this larger location, the Beasleys were able to operate both the cake shop and the supply shop. After settling into the new location Mr. Beasley began sharing his talent and experience with others by offering cake decorating and candy making classes. As the Beasleys approached retirement, The Party Cake Shop stopped selling decorated cakes and became a supplies only store.
In 1990, Linda Gillespie came to work at The Party Cake Shop as a cake decorating instructor and part-time sales associate. Prior to coming to The Party Cake Shop, Linda had been decorating specialty cakes and wedding cakes in her home, while also teaching Wilton classes in local stores and in a nearby vocational school. Four years later, Linda purchased The Party Cake Shop and in 1998 the name was changed to "Cincinnati Cake & Candy Supplies."
Over the years we have continued to grow, with new inventory continually added and a wider selection of classes offered. After launching our information website several years ago, we've had so many requests to ship merchandise around the world that we knew it was time to build an online store.
